In Malachi 3:6-15, God gives instructions about tithing as well as a promise for those who are faithful in putting their trust in Him, rather than in money.  Tithing is essentially about two things: 1) it tangibly demonstrates our recognition that God has ownership of all things, and 2) it demonstrates our trust in Him, and nothing else.

A tithe literally means “a tenth” of the produce of the earth consecrated and set apart for special purposes.  There is no other thing in life that touches every area of our life more than money, except God Himself.  It can be used for good or evil, it is necessity for life. Perhaps this is why Jesus spoke about money in 17 out of the 36 parables.  Worship includes the giving of our means in recognition that God is the provider and rightful owner of all things.

At Shepherd's Grace Chapel, we intentionally take steps to ensure giving is private.  Only those who need to know details of financial giving (for recordkeeping and taxes) have access to that information.  Your tithes and offerings are strictly between you and the Lord.

We have tried to make it convenient to give to Shepherd’s Grace Chapel through our online giving option.  If you have any questions about this, please talk with Pastor Greg (814-590-3480) or pastor@SGCchurch.net
